Enter
‘Enter’ came about a bit later in the creative process, as I was trying to establish a mood with the album. I wanted listeners to feel anticipation and really set off their curiosity as to what lay ahead. A mix of Orchestral and Electronic, it calls for you to embrace the unknown and push aside fear or trepidation.
Blinkers
‘Blinkers’ was first birthed in late 2018, using a beat up electric guitar and a loop pedal. Since then it’s evolved enormously, and now sits as a drum and bass inspired instrumental. It will one day tell the story of 2 souls, but is waiting for the story to be told correctly.
Up High
‘Up High’ is a lo-fi inspired piece that moves between hip-hop and latin style beats. Perfect for watching the waves roll in or the world roll by as you study/game/relax.
Liberty
‘Liberty’ was the first track I wrote specifically for this EP, a driving synth-wave beat making use of the voice of the legend Charlie Chaplin. It was heavily inspired by the #blacklivesmatter movement and calls for all to fight the injustices in their lives.
Release
‘Release’ is the last track on the album and was the last to be written. I wanted to convey the emotion and passion I had felt throughout the creative process, as well as how proud I was of what I achieved. I recommend listening laying on your back, staring up at the night sky pondering the possibilities of the great beyond.
