POST-PRODUCTION AND ANIMATION

Animation

Over time I have produced a number of animated works in a variety of styles. You can find some of these here, and more over on Personal Projects.

Ninja

Ninja was the first short film that I directed, being produced as part of my final year at University. The film is a Sci-Fi Thriller, following four strangers who partake in a popular televised game-show for the 'ultimate prize'.

I worked as Editor, VFX Artist and Colour Grader on this film, taking on the challenge of producing stylistic shots to drive the story forward. Assets were created in Cinema 4D and composited in After Effects, before being graded in Resolve.

I also worked as Writer/Director and Composer for this project, and you can learn more about that here.

The film was featured in the Sydney and Melbourne Lift-Off Film Festivals under the categories of “Judges’ Select” and “New Voice”.

Socialpath

Socialpath is a ten-minute dystopian drama, which explores human connection in a digital world. Intelligence agent Phillips infiltrates the communication system of a rebel group to evaluate their threat and uncover valuable information.

I worked as Editor, VFX Artist and GFX artist on this film, creating assets for use in Primary Production and bringing everything together in Post. This project required some extensive compositing due to Directional changes, and as such I used it as an opportunity to develop efficiencies within my post-production process.

I also worked as Cinematographer and Camera Operator for this project, and you can learn more about that here.

An example of a composited shot from the film. Trailer/Full Film to come upon release.

Videography

I have a wealth of video editing experience across Tertiary Education, Corporate, Small Businesses and Creative works, however I thought it best to move that to its own section. Below you can find some examples of videos I have edited, alongside a link to further content.

Living On The Line

‘Living on the Line’ follows the journey of Anna, Kat and a group of inspiring women as they take part in one of Australia’s first big ‘all women’ highline gatherings. We witness their struggles as they confront and conquer their fears in high winds, pushing themselves to the limit.

The film gives an insight into the unique world of highlining – exploring the close Sydney community, physical and psychological components and misconceptions of the sport. It delves into how the world of outdoor adventure sport has transformed for women over the years and the deeper and more personal motivations for chasing this adventurous ‘life on the line’.

I worked as Colour Grader for the project, working with Director Sara Ehrlich to match footage from a multitude of sources and capture the beauty of the natural environment in which the documentary focused.

‘Living on the Line’ was selected for a number of prominent festivals including the Wild Film Festival (screening in cinemas throughout Australia and New Zealand), Breckenridge Film Festival, Sydney Women's International Film Festival, Transylvania Mountain Festival and Melbourne Documentary Film Festival (currently in the running for Best Australian Short).

The Man in The Hat

The film follows Oliver and Hunter after the sudden passing of their mother. Believing that his mother‘s death was indeed no accident, Oliver begins his descent into madness as he tries to uncover who or what killed her. One thing is for certain; it all comes back to the man and the hat.

I worked as Colour Grader for the project, working with Director Corey Dale to bring the captured footage to life and emphasise the rich colours used on set.

I also worked as Cinematographer and Camera Operator for this film, and you can hear more about that here.

Hank

‘Hank’ follows the journey of a young woman as she pushes to survive through an ongoing famine, with no companionship aside from her dog Hank.

I worked as Colour Grader for the project, working with Director Camilla Pemberton to bring out the soft aesthetics that were desired.
