Integrated Communication

Integrated Communication was the final subject of the degree, and brought together the long-parted streams of Advertising and PR students to form ultimate teams. Each team was assigned one of six real-world clients and was to create a comprehensive integrated communication plan for them. The clients ranged across all sectors, from Corporate Companies, Charity Organisations and NGOs.

Our team, JT Consultancy, was formed with four Advertising students and one PR, and was assigned a corporate office hire company, Dexus Place (DP). DP faced a unique issue with COVID removing their sole purpose, as most of their clients had moved to Working From Home (WFH) models. We were tasked with forming their recovery plan, encouraging existing customers to return, and new customers to make use of their updated services.

Our team first struggled for a clear direction, but came to settle on the pitch of ‘Escape to Dexus Place’. The WFH environment is very rarely perfect, with constant distractions, poor internet, non-ergonomic setups and living partners getting in the way. JT Consultancy decided to push to position Dexus Place as a centre of peace, where one can

“Let Dexus do its’ job, so you can do yours.”

I worked as Lead Creative, Media Manager and Content Designer on this project, and was very happy with the outcome we received. We were praised by the Client for our creativity and empathetic, customer-centric focus, and later found some of our ideas appropriated on their social media channels.

You can find our presentation (with script) and advertising executions below. The videos were designed to promote our first suggested initiative, a social media competition showcasing individuals’ funny WFH experiences.
